This report, a joint initiative from Achange’s teams, aims to analyse the challenges women face when accessing internet with low digital literacy and digital skills. The findings are based on detailed ethnographic research conducted with girls in Bhopal.
Our Team run Computer literacy classes. In which we are teaching Fundamental of computers, internet awareness, Ms-Office, Social media, networking and useful mobile apps. We are helping of many underprivileged girls in both rural and urban communities shape a technologically empowered society.
Computer is now a day the most powerful tool that can be used by students for gaining knowledge. There are lot many tools, web portals available on web from where they can learn a lot. Our idea to educate girls on the basic of computer and internet awareness is to make self dependent. This can help them enrich their career goals using technology.
The uses of computers and internet are growing day by day at high speed. In almost all business, companies, schools using computers for various official operations. New tech tools are coming that helping students to learn better.
In today’s age, digital knowledge is extremely important to get ahead. Therefore we are striving hard to provide it to as many girls as possible so that they too may leverage this knowledge for their benefit and self-advancement.
Achanges’ goal of technological education is to make students better thinkers, creative and confident. That helps them in higher education in life and career development
Our One batch was conducted in a Girls’ school from an underprivileged area in Bhopal city. These girls never had access to computers and the internet before but they are thrilled to learn more about the world of computers. By Achange Team taught Fundamental of computers, internet awareness, Ms-Office, Social media, networking and useful mobile apps in 45 days .
After the completed 45days session by Our Team, some IT Expert asking some basic questions to girls, for judge their knowledge and were very impressed. They were delighted to know that those who had never know about the basic uses of computer they are now paying their electricity bills online, use online payment apps or drafting & answering emails, using social media app for learn more information or creativities.
Later they were given a demo session on how to use online payment apps which will help them in their day to day life. Many of these girls want to start their small businesses like tailoring shops or tiffin services and for them using these apps will be a great advantage and a good boost to their sales.
